Rhonda is a faculty member at the School of Nursing where she teaches several classes related to her specialty in women's and reproductive health. She also serves as the program director for Birth Partners- UNC Medical Center's volunteer doula program. Trained as a doula and certified as a nurse midwife, childbirth educator and lactation consultant, Rhonda is passionate about educating the next generation of health care professionals! She has traveled to Honduras with an interprofessional team of students and has made several trips planning a new course that includes service-learning in rural Haiti. Rhonda is currently planning a trip to Ireland with a group of nursing students this May. She is honored to be the recipient of one of five prestigious Tanner awards for excellence in undergraduate teaching at UNC for 2019.
