GO! Global Orientation on Culture + Ethics has ended
Join us Saturday, March 30 for the 2019 GO! Global Orientation on Culture + Ethics at the FedEx Global Education building!

This free, one-day event is designed to help students evaluate expectations, anticipate potential cultural and ethical challenges, prepare for engagement with global communities, and develop intercultural competencies.

Once you’ve registered, please create a profile (which you can choose to make public) and select the sessions you plan to attend, including full group sessions. NOTE: You may only select one breakout session per timeslot (one red, one green, one blue).

Achsah Dorsey is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Anthropology at UNC. She recently returned from extended dissertation fieldwork collecting biomarkers and conducting semi-structured interviews in Lima, Peru in order to examine the relationship between biological, environmental, and social factors contributing to iron deficiency in children. Prior to coming to UNC, she completed her master's degree at the University of Alabama, where she wrote her thesis based on data she collected in Mwanza, Tanzania.
